On March 20th, 2021, a significant event took place at AIIMS, New Delhi, marking a milestone in the field of forensic science. The Centre for Advanced Research and Excellence in Virtual Autopsy was inaugurated, signaling a new era of innovation and advancement in postmortem examinations.
The chief guest, Dr. Balram Bhargava, Director General of the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), graced the occasion. The ceremony commenced with the national anthem and a warm welcome extended to Dr. Bhargava by Dr. Sudhir Kumar Gupta, the Professor and Head of the Department of Forensic Medicine at AIIMS, New Delhi.
